Mythic XD BackerKit Closing, Funding & Production Plan Update

Hello Mythic XD Backers,
As we approach the next milestone for Mythic XD, I want to share a clear, transparent update on BackerKit timing, funding totals, and our production plan moving forward.
BackerKit Closing & Surveys
BackerKit will close and cards will be billed on the 30th.
At this time, 74% of backers have completed their surveys.
If you have not completed yours yet, please do so as soon as possible so we can lock quantities and move confidently into production.

Use the same email address you used on Kickstarter, and BackerKit will pull up your survey automatically.
Funding Totals – Full Transparency
As of today, Mythic XD has raised $94,117 from backers and preorders combined.
Some of you may notice this number is approximately $10,000 lower than what appears on the preorder site. To be completely transparent, this difference comes from unbillable pledges that dropped off after the Kickstarter closed, totaling roughly $10,000. This reflects real, collected funds only.
When we include retail commitments, the effective total comes back up to approximately $103,928.
This reconciliation is a normal part of post-Kickstarter operations and is exactly why we are being deliberate with our production approach.
Production Plan – Wave-Based Rollout
We are moving forward with Mythic XD in intentional production waves to ensure quality, responsible tooling investment, and long-term system growth.

Unlocks, Billing & Preorders
Backers will NOT be billed for any unlocks that have not been fully achieved.
Any unlock not met by BackerKit close will not be included in the initial tooling run.
All future-wave items will remain available as preorders for the next several months.
This extended preorder window gives us time for continued social pushes, conferences, and new supporters to help unlock these components.

Project Updates and Final Pay Over Time Installment

I hope everyone had a great holiday season.
We’re closing in on the final days to complete BackerKit, and this is also the last opportunity for anyone who missed the Kickstarter to preorder.
Pay-Over-Time Backers – Final Payment Update
If you selected the Pay Over Time option, today is your final payment.
Once that payment is confirmed, you’ll be able to complete your BackerKit survey.

Just to reiterate: all funding continues to go directly toward the stretch goals outlined during the Kickstarter. Kickstarter backers your support and trust mean everything, and you are locked in to anything we unlock during the post-campaign phase. If you’re willing to help us push this a little further, please share the project with friends, family, and fellow hobbyists who would find real value in these displays. Every share truly helps.
Project Updates
Wall XD (New Color Release)
Production is underway. The factory began running parts last month, and we expect inventory to arrive at our facility early February. We are on track to have Wall XD Street displays shipping by Q2 2026.
Mythic XD & New Wall XD Components
All new components are currently in their final revision stage before tooling. We are intentionally holding until the preorder closes so we can determine:
- What moves forward to tooling
- What additional items we may unlock
About Stretch Goal Unlocks
If we don’t reach the remaining unlocks by the 1/31 cutoff, we will still continue pushing toward them.
To be completely transparent: we haven’t finalized the exact path forward yet, but our goal is still to get these items made. If needed, this would become a separate release outside of the Kickstarter, and I’ll be sharing a clearer plan in the coming weeks.
For now, the best thing we can do is keep pushing together so we can unlock as much as possible sooner rather than later.

Morning and HAPPY Thursday!!
Many of you have asked about surveys, and I’ve been answering individually, but I wanted to address it here for clarity.
If you have not yet received your BackerKit survey, it is most likely because you selected the installment / pay‑over‑time option during the Kickstarter. With this option, BackerKit automatically sends the survey only after the pledge is paid in full.
If you did not select the installment option and still have not received your survey, please reach out to me directly.
The survey will remain open through the end of January to give everyone who selected the installment option enough time to complete their payment and submit their selections.
This process is new to me as well, and I apologize for not realizing this sooner. The silver lining is that it gives us more time to unlock goals. However, it does slightly delay new tooling, as we want to produce and deliver all components together, and we won’t be able to accurately confirm final component counts until the survey closes.
Overall, this should not impact the broader project timeline.

Hey everyone!
Quick update as we get things lined up post-campaign:
BackerKit Surveys & Preorders Go Live This Thursday — 12/11
On Thursday, you’ll receive your BackerKit survey to finalize your Mythic XD items and confirm your address.
At the same time, the public pre-order store will open for anyone who missed the campaign.
Shipping Will Be Charged Later
To keep rates accurate and fair, we will not be collecting shipping during the survey.
Shipping will be charged closer to fulfillment, once we have final weights and up-to-date carrier rates.
This ensures you get the most accurate cost possible.
Stretch Goals Included for Eligible Backers
If your pledge tier included stretch-goal items during the campaign, you will still receive those — nothing changes there as we hit the goal milestone.
Additionally, backers will have the option to purchase extra stretch-goal items as add-ons if you want multiples or want to expand your build beyond what’s included in your pledge.
This includes:
- Battlements
- Gatehouse Doors
- Arched Wall Set
Add-Ons Help Unlock the Remaining Pieces
Every add-on in BackerKit — including extra stretch-goal sets — pushes us closer to fully unlocking and producing the remaining Mythic XD pieces.
Your support here helps bring the Battlements, Gatehouse Doors, and Arched Walls into full production for the entire line.
